Manuel Maestre


Manuel Maestre Muñoz. He started his musical career at the age of 16, and was the founder of the rock band Cráneo 1981.

In the 82 are winners of the PCE contest being the guitarist Eduardo Pinilla on the jury. After breaking up in the mid-80s, he joined as guitarist of Azucena (ex Santa) in the recording of her first solo album named  “La estrella del rock” (The rock star).

Being trained at the time as a musician and guitarist, he studied contemporary harmony, and electric guitar with jazz guitarist Jorge Cabadas at the Electric Music Laboratory.

Two years later, he takes the charge of the electric guitar classes oriented to rock at the request of Jorge Cabadas himself, beginning his teaching work as a guitar teacher. Later, he studied with Fredy Marugán and obtained a Berkley certificate made in Madrid through the Creative School of Music. He studied with Jorge Mora and Felix Santos also.

He joined the David Gwing group, playing with Manolo Jiménez on drums, combining his rock facet with participation in orchestras, accompanying Raquel Ríos and his partner Nacho Blanco. Get in touch with David Alvarez (ex Acropolis) and form Fuera de Lugar together with Manolo Caño (Tritón) on the drums,  Alberto J. Amado to the keyboards (later SKA-P) and Dani Redondo (former Fuego Eterno) and for which step after the departure of David, José Andrea (later-Mago de Oz, Uroboros) and Chema de la Iglesia (Media Luna.)

After the dissolution of Fuera de Lugar, it enters to comprise of the band Scherezade next to Luis Pulido on vocals (ex Goliath), Javier Alonso, and Adolfo Iriarte “Epi” (Ratones Koloraos). Together with Epi and Tomás Blázquez (soul bisontes and the pleasure fuckers) they form La Historieta, a hard rock band, combining their activity in this group with several performances with Los Ratones Koloraos, finally moving to intregrase as a fixed member of the latter. After two discs recorded with Ratones Koloraos,  having as collaborators  like Robe (Porretas) Oscar (Lujuria) among others, the second one produced by Pachi Escolano (Casablanca), counting on the support and work of manager of Domingo J. Casas and Chepín (manager Triana).

Abandons Ratones Koloraos to join as guitarist of the group Stafas, led by Michel Molinera, along with Anono and Sergio (Sublevados), the latter gave way to Javier Del Palacio. With them he would record two albums with Pies Records (Marcos Perandones) and produced by Manolo Arias (Bella beast, Niagara, Atlas). They toured in Mexico along with Vantroi, play at festivals and concerts with groups such as Rata Blanca, Ars Amandis, Sínkope, Estrago, Loquillo, Ariel Roth Loquillo and many others …

At the end of 2012 he founds the band that leads and in which he composes the songs and sharing the scene, recently his latest work “LA VIDA ES TEATRO” with Nanny Vergel, Oscar Chamorro and Dani Redondo.
